Blue Eyes - that would be me. Gives an idea of the Red Eyes scale. They were quite impressively big.

The Foldup Chair - The High Line / Chelsea / New York (Tue 16 Aug 2011)
While I am reminiscing, a few more photos from last year in New York. Funny how a bit of time between viewings, reveals a new way of appreciating photos that were overlooked the first time around.
Just like the shadows in this one, the pavement lines also and how the lone foldup chair (have no idea why it was there) interacts with the passerby's.

The Joel Meyerowitz book had me reminiscing about the recent trip to New York (Aug 2011) and I was just looking through some of the photos from that trip which I still have on my iPad. Always impressed with the iPad's Origami Slideshow presentation and the random sequencing and presentation of the photos from a photo folder. Just grabbed this as a screen shot as this one rolled passed.

During this time, I was trying to make photographs about the 'all of it'; pictures without a central subject. I wanted all the information, near and far, to hold our interest equally, and I wanted colour to be an intricate part of the content. I was trying to unlock photography from the aesthetic of the decisive moment - a difficult thing to give up.A great book to have.
