Street Painting - Amsterdam (Tue 20 Aug 2013)

Street Painting - Amsterdam (Tue 20 Aug 2013)

Just took a random look through some of the photos from the trip (*) that I uploaded to my iPad while on the road.

I remember this moment and time, and it caught my eye just now skimming throughout the photos. I like it as there is a lot going on in quiet way, and in some ways reminds me of the time here (*) two years earlier in New York City.

Played around with it in Snapseed and came up with the following details (I like to crop - it is fun to see what is in a photo). Here they are:

Leonard Nimoy (*) writes On Photography (*):
You must master (*) your craft and then put it aside and concentrate (*) on the more difficult aspect of the work.
  • What is it that you want to do (*) with that craft?
  • What do you want to express (*)?
  • What do you want to explore (*)?
  • What do you want to find out (*)?
  • What do you want to present (*) to people?
Those are the issues that you have to search (*) for.

On Staying Excited - Kirk Tuck (Wed 13 Nov 2013)

Rowers (Detail) - Langelinie / Copenhagen (Fri 23 Aug 2013)

Kirk Tuck (*) writes On Staying Interested (*):
I'm happy that I'm still excited about hitting the water on a cold day and pounding out the yards. You'd think that after over fifty years of swimming up and down various pools and watching the black line on the bottom one would get bored but every time in the pool is exciting and fun for me. It's active meditation (*), it's competition (*) and it's concentration (*). Lots of good stuff for your body and brain to do before that first cup of coffee...
