One of my favourite Outrigger Video's (along with Rambo's Mission Adrenal). The background music is really good and makes you want to get out there on the ocean and paddle.
Yes, the music, the colour, the light, the people, the canoes and the paddling technique all make this a great little video and definitely and an event worth attempting at least once. PD's Men did the Hawaiki Nui in 2006 (See Billy's write ups here). Hopefully PD's will go there again sometime in the next year or two.
Also, so much to learn from this video. The steering, the way the they work the changes in the swell and how the rating varies according to the conditions.
